Sydney Airport Passenger Traffic numbers for Q2 2024

Total passenger numbers through Sydney Airport were up by 6.4% in Q2 2024, compared to the same time last year in Q2 2023 - according to information sourced from Sydney Airport

Making up that 6.4% increase, International passengers increased by 12.1%. However, it was Domestic passenger numbers which saw less of an increase in the quarter, with only 3% growth compared to Q2 2023. This was attributed to higher domestic airfares, lower flight capacity and lower demand for business travel.

The total number of passengers through Sydney Airport was 9.74 million in Q2 2024, which was still 8.1% less than the Q2 numbers for 2019 before the pandemic.
